Gardening 101 – August 22 – Pre-plan for Fall Planting.

Beat the August doldrums by gearing up for Fall – one of the best seasons  in the gardening year. Now is the time to assess your garden’s performance this year and plan ahead for next year. Most trees, shrubs and perennials can be planted in Fall. In this FREE class we’ll discuss the what’s, the why’s and hows of Fall gardening.

The classes are taught by Melissa Candela, the Nursery Manager of Gossett Brothers Nursery.  Melissa is local South Salem resident and an avid gardener who is eager to share her experience and expertise. The class runs from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m.  Their are no forms to fill out and no phone calls to make, just pop in and enjoy the class. At the conclusion of the class their will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

Stop by the Nursery a little earlier to pick up your fresh, organic fruits and vegetables and other treats for you, your family and your pet from the Gossett Farm Market, which closes at 1:00 p.m.

New Arrivals – Fall Vegetables and Herbs are here!!

Looking to get your garden back into shape? We can help! Today Gosset Brothers Nursery has  received our new shipment of organic fall vegetables and herbs.  Products include Lettuce, Kale, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Spinach, Collard Greens, Escarole, Chard, Cabbage and much more.

New herbs include Basil, Parsley, Tarragon and Rosemary.  We even have Rosemary hanging baskets, great for making your kitchen smell fresh and homey.

Plant now to keep you home garden flourishing into fall. Items planted now can be harvested until frost.
