After a bashing from Mother Nature with snow and rain, we’re finally getting a break! This weekend Gossett’s Farm Market is moving outside, to completely enjoy the sunny skies and 60 degree temperatures.
The local Artisan this week is Debbie Schmidt. Debbie has an amazing selection of handmade decorative pillows.
Well while mother nature is busy washing away the snow, the Market is cozy and dry. This week there is allot going on. We have Melissa here (our plant buyer and resident garden and plant expert) to answer all you plant, garden and landscaping questions.
Joan Roth is the local Artisan this week. Joan creates beautiful handmade knitted wool caps, gloves, sweaters, scarfs and lots more! Lewisboro is blessed with many amazing locally talented people. Come see her colorful creations while you do your local shopping.
We herd that allot of folks missed the Market last Saturday. It may of been sunny and dry here, but allot of our vendors were digging out of the snow for a few days. That’s one of the problems of having a year-round Market, but not to worry, this Saturday we are back and ready to go. The weather is forecast looks great, big bright sun and blue skies with the temperature hovering in the upper 40’s (thats pretty good for early March!)
Gossett’s Brothers Nursery has always been committed to the local community. After all, we live, work and play here, and we are proud to bring you the first year-round Farmers Market. For the 2010 season Gossetts Farm Market is ready to expand our offerings to the community.
Its amazing how many locally talented people the Nursery is surrounded by. So in March, during the Farmers Market, we will host some of the local Artisans of our community. See the schedule below for a list of participants.
March 06 – Carol Weale – Handmade necklaces with semi precious stones, ceramic, wood and recycled glass beads strung on Greek leather with base metal findings.
March 13 – Joan Roth – Felted slippers and slides, baby sweaters, mittens, headbands, scarves and other items.
March 20 – Debbie Schmidt – Pillows with a mix of styles from formal to country. Most are filled with feathers.
